Fathers' Day

I want to acknowledge my father on this special day. I love and miss him very much.

Dad idolised my Mum and was very much a family man who loved his kids and adored his grandchildren. I was a single parent with my first child, Shay and Dad was a great role model for him. When I met my husband, he welcomed him wholeheartedly to our family and was not just a father figure to my husband but also his best friend.

Dad loved being around friends and family and was well respected by all. I will always remember and cherish Dad's laugh, his melodic voice and his annoying sense of humour.

At age 72 my dad passed away on June 4, 2015 from a rare and aggressive form of Cancer, Angio Sarcoma. Thankfully he never suffered terribly and within six months of being diagnosed, he slipped away from us peacefully.

Jimmy Bear was everybody's mate!
