Annette's journey brought tears and smiles. From the horrific moment of her accident and the painful recovery that followed; to Annette's development into a strong and independent young woman, I felt honored to be allowed a glimpse into her life. Annette is a true hero for sharing what it was like to be a young girl who endured bullying and torment because of the scars caused by her 3rd degree burns. She started out the same as other young girls on the inside but became so much stronger and more resilient because of her differences on the outside.
